Whiterose Movement

The White Rose was an anti-fascist movement in 1942, Germany. 2020, here, in India, we are also anti-fascist. We are non-violent, and totally against all types of violence and all forms of injustice and intolerance. The White Rose Movement is presenting two national art online exhibitions during this August. Today is the 6th of August, the Hiroshima day. 75 years ago America destroyed Hiroshima dropping nuclear bombs, showing their brutal power. The same brutality was shown on the 9th of August, 1945 in Nagasaki too. Today we open the exhibition "Blue Sky, the Shadows of Hiroshima." 70 artists are exhibiting 140 of their works of art on the walls of Blue Sky. In the opening session of this national exhibition of art Com. M. A. Baby, member of the politbureau of CPI (M), and a well known cultural activist, is delivering the Presidential address. Dr. Ashok Vajpaye is inaugurating this prestigious show. Dr Vajpaye is a well known poet and art critic. He was in the Civil service of India and now is the Chairman of Raza Foundation. Mr. Jose Dominic is also here. He is the CEO of the C.G.H Earth group of hotels. He is an art promoter too, managing two art galleries in Kochi. White Rose welcomes the participants of the exhibition and the viewers. “We hate war; we want peace, we always dream of blue skies.”
